(Some of my fondest memories) are taking trips to Port Stanley to the beach and going to Niagara Falls with my friend. I also loved being on the Board of Directors.”

When Scott was asked what he thinks about being supported by Forward House, he said, “ I like it. Staff help with my money, going to Tim Horton’s, and going to the casino. I like my staff they are all very nice! (My best memories are) the Forward House Christmas parties and that I got to dress up like Santa and hand out the presents..”

“My passport worker helps me to get out of the house and go to movies, coffee shops and for walks to get cold drinks.  I really liked our trips to Port Stanley and Grand Bend.  When we can’t get out then we play games together.  She helps me pay my bills and helped me with court.”

“Our brother has been part of Forward House for 19 years. The way he has been treated and the supports they provide to him are exceptional! We have yearly meetings with our brother and the staff to review his achievements, activities, and his year and discuss what he would enjoy in the future. They are always looking for fun things for him to do and helping him to grow and learn new things year after year. Through the pandemic, we didn’t know how our brother would react as his schedule is very important to him but the staff at Forward House were able to keep him busy during lock downs and made it more enjoyable for him.
